Born and raised in the province of Québec, Canada, Myriam Phiro has many chords to her arc. Graduated from the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in NYC, with a musical theatre conservatory degree, she ranges from a seductive and elegant jazz singer to a vibrant songstress in a heartbeat. It really is the combination of her musicality to her theatricality that makes the artist stand out. As a French/Jazz vocalist now established in New York, she has performed in NYC’s best hidden spots (The Back Room, The Rose Bar, Zinc Bar, The Duplex, the Cutting Room, Don’t tell mama, Symphony Space, The triad, FluteBar etc) and is now presenting her first EP: “My Rêverie…”; as a stamp of her artistic journey in the Big Apple. Her unique style comes from working closely with inspirational musicians like Ron Jackson, Barry Harris, Tammy Scheffer, Benjamin Ickies, Robert Bosscher, Sandro Albert as well as profoundly studying French Art Chanson and Jazz music (so much so that American folks nickname her “Jazzy Piaf”).

Coming back from a residency at the “Harry’s New York Bar” in Montreux (Montreux Jazz Festival post activities official venue), Myriam Phiro will certainly enchant and touch you. Come celebrate “My Rêverie…” with her on Nov 6! C’est un rendez-vous… 😉 More info at www.myriamphiro.com
