Annie Comtois is a singer/songwriter from Montreal.

She joined Creative Writing and entered the music program at Concordia University in 2000. She also took piano lessons and singing classes. In 2005, she obtained the lead vocalist role for the opening piece in the musical Gospel at Colonus with the Con Chord Jazz Singers, a choir conducted by Jeri Brown.

The same year, she presented her frst solo show in front of a full house at the Bistro culturel le Va-et-Vient in Montreal. After performing jazz standards and her original material, in 2008, she recorded her frst album, untitled Précieuses minutes.

After playing across the province of Quebec in 2009, she toured in the United States during the Celebration of the Francophone Week in New England. Annie revisits her repertoire adding an infuence of pop music and some new songs evoking dreams and hope on up tempo rhythms, giving birth to her show Ma place sous le soleil.

In 2010, she receives a grant from the Canadian Heritage (Musicaction) to produce an album. She then collaborates with the music producer Mathieu Dandurand (Stefe Shock, Alfa Rococo). Her talent as an artist entrepreneur is rewarded with a Tip of the Hat from the Forum économique de Verdun and a few months later, she was given the Jeunes

promoteurs grant.

For the past two years, Annie and her accomplices have sunned up the province of Quebec with their music. They’ve had the pleasure to perform during many events on outdoor stages, during the Midis Sun Life at the Philipps Square, at the Fête du Chocolat in Bromont, for the Quebec’s National Day in Verdun, at the Des Prairies Park and the Centropolis in Laval, at the Regional Park in Longueuil and at the Place du Marché in Shawinigan, as well as touring during Expo-Québec and for the Intimate Concerts serie in Tremblant.
